Meet Kira Nicole

A journey shaped by experience. A practice rooted in connection.

Holistic Health Practitioner | Naturopath | Nutritional Therapy Practitioner | HeartMath-Certified Practitioner | Guide to Whole-Person Healing

I believe that true healing begins when we feel seen, heard, and connected—to ourselves, our bodies, and the world around us.

I'm Kira, the founder of Restorative Health Solutions, and for more than a decade, I've had the privilege of helping people navigate their health, rediscover their resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

My approach to healing is deeply personal. It has been shaped not only by years of education, professional training, and working with clients, but also by my own experiences with illness, uncertainty, loss, and transformation.

I know what it feels like to search for answers. To be told everything looks fine when you know something isn't right. To feel disconnected from a body you once trusted.

I also know how transformative it can be when someone finally listens.

Those experiences have shaped the way I practice, the way I connect with others, and the way I understand healing itself.

Because I don't believe healing is about fixing what's broken. I believe it's about reconnecting with what's been forgotten, neglected, or waiting to be nurtured.

My Journey: From Surviving to Thriving

Growing up, I was a competitive dancer. Movement was my passion, and I loved the discipline, artistry, and strength it required. But beneath that seemingly healthy exterior, I was struggling with an unhealthy relationship with food, my body, and my weight. I had learned to measure wellness by appearance and achievement rather than how I actually felt.

During my senior year of high school, my body began sending signals I could no longer ignore.

One morning, I woke up with a frightening loss of vision, as though someone had blasted a hole through the center of everything I could see. Debilitating migraines followed, sometimes lasting for days. Soon, I began losing consciousness after physical exertion.

I can still remember finishing a dance performance, striking that final pose, and then—quite literally—hitting the floor.

As my symptoms multiplied, so did the medical appointments. Yet I was repeatedly told I was "too healthy to be sick." At one point, I was even labeled an attention-seeking teenager in my medical records.

Then one physician changed the course of my life.

She approached me with something I had desperately needed: kindness, curiosity, and a willingness to listen.

After extensive testing, we discovered several serious health challenges involving my circulation, hormones, and neurological symptoms. At just 17 years old, I was experiencing profound hormonal dysfunction, including a menopause-like state.

Treatment was complicated by adverse reactions to medications, and I experienced a life-threatening event during diagnostic testing. Eventually, I was told to consider disability and that motherhood might never be possible.

It was a devastating prognosis for someone whose life had barely begun.

But that same compassionate physician offered me an unexpected resource: a book about nutrition.

At the time, my diet consisted largely of cereal, low-fat foods, and anything that promised fewer calories. I had spent years trying to control my body rather than nourish it.

For the first time, I began eating with the intention of supporting my health—quality proteins, colorful vegetables, and real, nutrient-dense foods.

Within three months, I experienced a remarkable improvement in my health. Although some hormonal challenges continued to require medical care, the transformation was profound.

I began to understand that nourishment wasn't something I had to earn. It was something my body deserved.

That realization changed more than the way I ate. It changed the way I understood health.

And years later, despite what I had once been told, I welcomed my son into the world through a beautiful, natural birth experience.

Life had taught me that the possibilities ahead of us are not always defined by the limitations we've been given.

The Experience That Became My Calling

While my own health challenges introduced me to the power of nutrition, it was my beloved Mamal—my grandmother—who truly inspired me to pursue holistic healing professionally.

When she was diagnosed with cancer, our family faced a journey we unfortunately knew all too well.

This time, however, we chose to explore additional ways to support her well-being alongside conventional cancer treatment. We partnered with a naturopathic practitioner, and I began my formal education in holistic nutrition.

What I witnessed profoundly changed me.

My Mamal maintained a meaningful quality of life through much of her treatment. She experienced months with relatively little pain, continued enjoying the people she loved, and found moments of joy even in difficult circumstances.

She even kept her hair during treatment—until she decided to cut it herself so the friends she'd made during chemotherapy wouldn't feel alone in losing theirs.

That was my Mamal. Always thinking of someone else.

Her journey taught me something that has remained at the heart of my work ever since:

Healing is not always the same as curing.

Sometimes healing means restoring comfort. Sometimes it means reclaiming hope, finding peace, nurturing relationships, or discovering moments of joy in the midst of uncertainty.

It means honoring the whole person, not simply addressing a diagnosis.

Those experiences opened my heart to a different understanding of health and inspired me to devote my life to helping others explore what healing can mean for them.

Where Education Meets Experience

My personal journey sparked my curiosity, but my professional education gave me the foundation to turn that curiosity into meaningful support for others.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Colorado State University in 2009, building a strong understanding of human physiology, movement, and the body's remarkable capacity for adaptation.

I went on to become a Certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2013 and completed advanced education in traditional naturopathic principles in 2018.

Over the years, my studies and professional training have expanded to include traditional Chinese medicine concepts, Ayurvedic principles, energetic practices, sound and frequency-based modalities, and the relationships between physical health, emotional well-being, and the nervous system.

I also became certified in HeartMath and trauma-sensitive Resilient Heart practices, deepening my understanding of stress, emotional regulation, and the mind-body connection.

Since founding my practice in 2014, I've had the opportunity to support individuals navigating a wide variety of health and life challenges.

Yet the longer I practice, the more I recognize that knowledge alone is not what makes someone feel supported.

It's the ability to listen without judgment, to remain curious, and to recognize that every person's experience is uniquely their own.

I continue to learn, grow, and evolve—both as a practitioner and as a person. Because I believe the best guides never stop being students themselves.

Healing Begins with Connection

Over time, my personal experiences and professional work have led me to one foundational belief:

We cannot fully nurture one part of ourselves while continually neglecting the others.

Our physical health influences our emotions. Our thoughts shape our behaviors. Our relationships affect our sense of safety and belonging. Our nourishment, environment, purpose, and spiritual lives all contribute to how we experience the world.

This understanding inspired the Eight Connections framework that guides my work at Restorative Health Solutions:

  1. Connection to Self — Developing self-awareness, compassion, and authenticity.

  2. Connection to Body — Learning to listen to and honor the body's needs.

  3. Connection to Nourishment — Building a supportive, sustainable relationship with food and nourishment.

  4. Connection to Nature — Rediscovering the restorative relationship between ourselves and the natural world.

  5. Connection to Balance — Supporting rest, resilience, and the body's capacity for regulation.

6. Connection to Purpose — Exploring meaning, intention, and personal fulfillment.

7. Connection to Community — Nurturing relationships, belonging, and meaningful support.

8. Connection to Spirit — Honoring faith, spirituality, and our connection to something greater than ourselves.

These connections aren't a checklist to perfect.

They're an invitation to explore the areas of life that may be asking for greater attention, compassion, and care.

Through holistic health consultations, nutritional guidance, nervous system support, energy-based modalities, and personalized programs, I help clients discover practical and meaningful ways to strengthen these connections.

My work is complementary to appropriate medical care and centered on supporting the whole person.

Walking Alongside You

I don't believe that any practitioner can know your body, your experiences, or your life better than you do.

You are the expert on your own lived experience.

My role is to bring education, perspective, tools, and compassionate guidance to the process—to help you explore possibilities, recognize patterns, and make choices that align with your needs and values.

Sometimes that means examining nutrition or lifestyle habits. Sometimes it means exploring stress, emotional patterns, or the ways our nervous systems respond to life's challenges.

And sometimes the most important work is simply creating space to slow down, reconnect, and listen to ourselves again.

I understand that healing is rarely linear.

There are seasons of growth, seasons of rest, unexpected setbacks, and moments when the path forward feels unclear.

I've experienced many of those seasons myself.

And I've learned that we don't have to approach them with perfection, pressure, or criticism.

We can approach them with curiosity, compassion, and a willingness to begin again.

You don't have to become someone entirely new to experience meaningful change. Sometimes the journey is about coming home to yourself.

An Invitation to Begin

Whether you're navigating a health challenge, feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, or simply sensing that something in your life is ready to change, you deserve a space where your story matters.

A space where you're heard without judgment.

Where your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being are honored.

And where healing is approached not as a destination to reach, but as a relationship with yourself to nurture.

I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

Let's explore what restoration, connection, and well-being can look like in your life.

With warmth and gratitude,

Kira
